Hello – Thanks for stopping by to find out a bit more about me!
I’m Teresa!
I’ve been in the Health and Fitness industry for over 30 years and during this time have travelled the world teaching classes and helping ladies to move more.
Back in the day you may have seen me on GMTV alongside Mr Motivator and on his bestselling Legs Bums and Tums DVD, filmed in Tobago, I worked with Joanna Hall in her Drop a Dress Size DVD and on location in Sydney Australia in the pioneering fitness TV show ‘Aerobics Oz Style’!
I started teaching fitness when I was 18 – (originally I came from a dance background). Mostly, I worked in all the top fitness clubs in the City of London and Sydney, alongside some of the major players in the world of Health and Fitness.
When I was about 28, I was diagnosed with a severe back problem, called spondelolysthesis – it stopped me teaching my regular fitness classes and made me re- evaluate my life.
I embarked on my Pilates Matwork teacher training in Canada at the world renowned Stott Pilates Studio in Toronto.
I then continued my Pilates journey by training again with Polestar Pilates for classical equipment. I started to train clients on the reformer and tower. Pilates took over my life and soon I was tutoring Pilates Matwork Certification courses and assessing instructors up and down the country.
I continued to teach Pilates through both of my pregancies and when both of my daughters were growing up. When they were little I certified to teach Piloxing and became the only Elite Star Instructor in London. Classes were booming!
Times change and fitness trends and crazes come and go but my continuing education never stops – I always ensure I use the latest scientific research to build programs that are evidence based.
I’m proud to have also trained with Faster Health and Fitness – a company who are way ahead of others in their approach.
My mission is simple – to inspire you to move more and provide a safe enviroment for you to do so.
Whether you are just starting out, wanting to develop a skill, train for performance, or return to movement after a break or injury – I hope I can help you acheive your goals!
